What are the fan features of 1F95-1277, 1F97-1277 and 1F95-1291?

  1. Fan Auto/Fan On
    • Fan Auto allows the indoor blower to cycle on call for heat or cool as needed. This is the option that is commonly chosen by most customers. A thermostat selection of Fan On turns the blower on constantly even if the thermostat is not calling for heat or cool. ""Fan On"" is typically used to improve air circulation, even out the temperature in the building or (in applications with air cleaner installed) provide additional air cleaning capacity. ""Fan On"" only circulates the air in the building and does not provide any additional heating or cooling.
  2. FAN Prog. - Comfort Circulating Fan
    • While the thermostat is operating the system pressing the FAN Switch until FAN Prog. appears starts the Comfort Circulating Fan option. This causes the thermostat to cycle the fan on for 10 minutes and off for 20 minutes if the thermostat has not called for heat or cool during the past 60 minutes. This assures moderate air circulation even when the heating and cooling equipment is not cycling
  3. FAN On Prog. - Programmable Fan
    • While programming the thermostat times and temperatures for heating and cooling pressing the Fan button will program the fan to run continuously for the time period you are programming. Example: Press the SYSTEM key to select Heat. Press the MENU key once to display Set Schedule. Press Set Schedule once to display the first program period. The time and temperature for this period will show on the display. Press the FAN key once to display FAN PROG. The fan is now programmed to run continuously for this time period. The fan can be programmed for any or all time and temperature settings. To cancel program fan for a time period simply enter the heating or cooling program and advance to the time and temperature period you want to cancel. Press the fan switch and Program Fan will be removed from the screen.

Tip: Running the fan or blower more frequently will increase your utility bill. Most residential systems use a 1/2 or 1/3 HP electric motor to power the blower or fan.
